By using this website or submitting a device for evaluation, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
Bitterroot Data Recovery provides:
- Logical data recovery services
- Drive diagnostics
- Secure data wiping
- Backup consultation
Mechanical or clean-room recovery services are not performed in-house and may be referred to third-party providers.
3. No Guarantee of Recovery
Data recovery is a best-effort service.
Bitterroot Data Recovery does not guarantee:
- Full recovery of all data
- Recovery of specific files
- Restoration of device functionality
Some data may be permanently unrecoverable due to prior damage, overwriting, encryption, firmware failure, or mechanical defects.
4. Client Responsibility
Clients confirm that:
- They are the legal owner of the device or have authorization from the owner
- The device does not contain illegal materials
- They understand recovery attempts may expose existing device weaknesses
Bitterroot Data Recovery reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Bitterroot Data Recovery shall not be liable for:
- Permanent data loss
- Hardware failure
- Business interruption
- Lost profits
- Emotional distress
- Incidental or consequential damages
Maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services rendered.
6. Confidentiality
All devices and data are handled confidentially.
Data is accessed only as necessary to verify recovery results.
Recovered data will be removed from recovery systems after delivery unless otherwise requested.
7. Payment Terms
Pricing is based on diagnostic findings and complexity.
Payment is due upon successful data recovery and client verification unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Diagnostic fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.
8. Device Storage and Abandonment
Clients are responsible for retrieving devices within 30 days of notification.
Unclaimed devices after 30 days may be considered abandoned and disposed of at Bitterroot Data Recovery’s discretion.
